Stephen Vadakin

Stephen Vadakin is a writer and wildlife artists who creates sculptures utilizing the mediums of wood and bronze. He works in native and exotic woods from all over the world. His sculptures are sanded to perfection and finished with the highest quality materials. Recently, Vadakin featured on Channel 5 News with a segment about his newly-carved 1200 pound humpback whale. The tree from which the whale was carved came down in Hurricane Dorian. In The Big Splash exhibit he will unveil an eight foot carving of two dolphinsthat is sure to delight gallery visitors young and old. Vadakin is also the founder of a marine science program from school children in the Midwest. To date, the program has reached more than 50,000 young people with an engaging message about the art of sculpture as it relates to oceans and marine life.
Vadakin’s collections have been featured at the Centre of Coastal Studies on Cape Cod, the South Carolina Maritime Museum, and Wyland's Galleries in Naples Florida and Hilton Head, SC.
